Nice skillz. I liked the agression on some curves. Driving in straights is easy...

it's just for fun ...

There are some organisations who organised that on several tracks ...

like : skylimitevents.be
duez-days.be
RMA ( from england ) are coming about 3 times on spa in 1 year.

And yes it's a lot of fun to driving there ...

For Spa count 250 euro +- for 1 day and if there are damages it's each for his own ...

i've only done one trackday this year at Bedford Autodrome in the UK. i've been to Spa twice(05/07) and my boyfriend took my car to the Nurburg ring in 2008.

i mostly stick to British tracks. its expensive enough going to UK tracks, never mind going to a different country for it! :D

fuel + tyres = $$$ :(

if you actually do want to go i usually go with these guys

http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/trackdays/trackdays.asp?ci...

however, they only go for Cadwell/Bedford/Brands/Snetterton/Oulton.

some tracks such as my local track (croft) you can ring up/email whatever and request a list of available trackday dates and inquire about a price.

some tracks offer($$$) an instructor to help you learn lines/braking/turning to make you a better driver :)

Ive been to bedford a couple of times, its good there especially when they have guest manufacturers there with a few of their cars there for you to try, my fave was the Noble M12 GTO, that was great fun!

Donington's good for track days too and relatively cheap compared to others, love driving down through the craners in my E30 M3 :)

Im driving to Spa this year for the GP, shame i wont be able to get on track myself tho :( Going to Monza for the GP this year too, cant wait for that one either, hope Ferrari have got their act together by then cos it'll be mental!

nope, just the 2L :-)

the V6 only has an extra 40bhp on my car but also weights close to 500kg more than my car.

if your car came in at the north import centre - i probably drove it before you !! (before the dealer got it)

ps - have driven some of the 3L monsters - i know which i prefer - but not on the open raod - too low slung - a little known fact - they is the only production model they make with rear wheel drive

actually my father drives a car transporter and had a batch on 182's onboard and pointed me in that direction. chances are he drove it and not you :P

the V6 is listed as 1475kg and mine is listed at 1070kg in standard spec.

about 2 months ago mine was 988kg

1475kg - 998kg = 487kg :)

ah, i was talking standard and i thought the 182 was closer to 1130ish, there we are then!

what have you shedded from yours?

on a side note, i cant believe the V6 is 275kg heavier then my E30 M3, and for that matter a 182 is only 130kg lighter than it......

rear seats
lighter front seats
lighter wheels
removed carpets
removed soundproofing tar stuff
removed about 15kgs of various bits of random clunks of metal in the engine bay.
removed roof lining
lightweight battery(relocated to the boot)
removed doorcards and replaced with carbon fibre.
ditched the AC system

the Vee is great fun to drive and whilst it is fast its not quick if you get what i mean :)

seen many E30s at the tracks. soon as they get on a straight they drive away but they are not as cute in the corners :)

cool, yeh get what you mean about the V6

i would've said the opposite about the M3 in my experience (or did you mean compared to the clio??), not the quickest in a straight line by a long way but will live with anything in the corners in the right hands

ive matched corner speed with many a rally bred 4WD and my mate in his elise and he can drive!

that only goes for the E30 though, any M3's post E30 arent the same

well maybe it's just the drivers i have seen. maybe they find it difficult to get the RWD power down in a bend

the E46 isn't so bad :( my father used to have one until he blew it up:D

E90 sucks! :D

agree with the caterham! but, rightly or wrongly, i dont class them as road cars......

not been in an E46 but agree they did get progressively better and more specialist again after the E36

dont forget that in touring car spec the E30 had the sierra cosworth (4WD) in its pocket for years with the same regulated power output which boiled down to pure handling. With the homoligation rules at the time demanding the road cars were identical with the exception of the engine the road cars were essentially purpose built racecars with de-tuned engines (which was a shame!)

anyway, if you get the chance to drive one (or even ride in one) rip their hand off, unbelievably good to drive and not difficult at all, even being RWD with more power they are nothing like as tail happy as say the equivalent 325i, the chassis, suspension and weight distibrution sees to that.
